I  have been using Area81 for my very busy Airbnb in San Diego, and they are by far the best cleaning service I have worked with. They are always on time, communicate extremely well, and provide excellent feedback after every cleaning.

They come every other week, and they do a great job!  In just about two hours,  floors are clean, sinks and baths shine, furniture gleams, stuff is dusted. My initial experiences were better than the following one. They are never on time. They are late 2-3 hours and Susana will always say they are on their way. Girls keep on changing. And everytime you have to explain them. And one girl has a very bad attitude. She will react she doesn’t understand English but she understands everything. Her name is Christal and she will cut corners. She is a slacker. She was leaving wiping kitchen cabinets, moping floor, dining table. Worked with Susana and her team for several months now. My initial experiences were much better than my later experiences.

At first, when I explained the needs of my home, the instructions were followed very well. And when I had any issues they would double the efforts the following appointment. Initially, she sent two people to clean my home and they worked for over an hour. When she sent only one person, they worked for two hours or so. In the final weeks, she sent one person and they would maybe work for an hour, with no change in price but a decrease in effort. Personnel turnover was rapid and I had to explain to each new person what I wanted.

Often times I had to call Susana to explain what I was looking for, which never changed, and translate it to the worker because they were doing things I didn't want cleaned or did not focus on what I wanted. While frustrating, she would respond quickly and refocus the worker. But I was soon tired of saying the same thing every week. I only wanted three things and I didnt think it was overly complicated.

I spent more time managing the work than I wanted to. I think the price was fair, and Susana was very flexible with my schedule, but overall I wasn't very impressed.

I had more positive experiences than negative, but really felt like my home wasn't paying enough money to warrant the initial customer service I was presented in the beginning of our working relationship. This is why I will be using a different service as I rent my home in the future.
